Diving Key Largo

Charlie packed his bags, filled up his gas tank and headed south to to dive Key Largo. He rode the 12 hour trip on his Harley. He was in man's heaven and loved every minute of it. He couldn't have had better weather, sunny skies and 85 every. single. day. He met his best buddy, Josh from Okinawa and some of his friends to stay with and dive together. They dove, they ate, they had a great time. It was a good get-away-from-it-all trip, spiritually uplifting and relaxing. I won't tell about every picture, just let you look. Enjoy!

Wild Adventures - The Animals

Wild Adventures not only has fun rides but they have many animals too. We all enjoyed learning about animals and seeing them up close and personal.

Jas really wanted to hold this snake but was only allowed to touch it.

We fed the birds necter.

We watched an animal show.

And we rode a train threw a safari.

Wild Adventures - The Rides

Our friends have season pass tickets to Wild Adventures in Valdolsta. The park had a "Bring a friend day." So our whole family got in free! We spent the entire day riding rides. The girls had so much fun.
Some rides I rode with them and some I did not because I'm too chicken.
I couldn't believe Maya went straight for the roller coasters. She loves the thrill.

They survived and with smiles on their faces.
One of my favs is the swings.

And some rides they wanted to ride over and over.

I felt the same as Kiera at the end of the day after this ride.

Perigee Moon 2011

I got some good shots of the perigee moon. It is 30% brighter and 14% wider than lesser full moons. The moon was the closest to the earth since 1983 and it won't be this close again until 2028. Wow, so cool! I was glad to be able to witness such an event.

Here is the moon when it first appeared over the horizon:

This is it later while it's still rising:
And this is it appearing over the trees.

Balloons and Tunes

The girls and their friend, Sydney, went up to Macon for part of the Cherry Blossom Festival. This night music and hot air balloons were on the schedule. People packed into the park to picnic out and listen to live music.
Once the sun set, the fun began.

The hot air balloons were tethered and lit up with gas. They glowed in the dark.
The weather was awesome. The temps have been in the 80's with clear skies. They all enjoyed themselves listening to music, eating and hanging out together. Feels like summer is already here.

Blooming

Everything is starting to bloom around here. The cherry blossoms and pear trees have already bloomed and have turned green. Now the rest of the trees and flowers are coming back to life.

This is the crape myrtle that we removed from the front of the house and planted it in the back yard. Immediately, it died so we thought we did all that work for nothing. But my reassuring neighbor said, "You can't kill a crape myrtle." And sure enough, he was right.
The trees are turning green.
My birds of paradise are coming back.

I'm not sure what these bushes are called but they are pretty when they bloom.

I bought a Priscilla for my front door. It's so pretty and brings a lot of color to my entrance.
