This morning at 5:37 am we were violently awoken by a 7.0 earthquake. It seemed like it came out of nowhere and without warning. Everything shook...hard! for about 30 seconds. There's no way anyone could have slept through that one. Once the shaking stopped, the girls rushed into our room and got in our bed. Jas thought it was a wild ride but Kiera had been shaken up. With all the excitement, noone could get back to sleep. There was no damage around our house or our neighbor's homes. I reminded Charlie to check on his Harley to make sure it didn't fall. Everything was ok. I give credit to the Japanese, they know how to build a sturdy home.
